From Texas Roots to Medical Practice
Dr. Garcia's Journey
Dr. Garcia and her family are originally from the San Antonio/Bandera Texas area. She grew up in the Rio Grande Valley, going through school at the award-winning Los Fresnos CISD school district and graduating as Salutatorian. Dr. Garcia then went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas Health Science Center McGovern Medical School in Houston.
Her residency in Family Practice was completed in Houston at the Hermann Memorial Southwest residency program. After residency, she worked in medical practices in Harlingen and Port Isabel until she established her private practice in March of 2011.
She has become known as a champion in keeping adults healthy with a focus on preventive care and older adults. Her office is proud to provide extra support to those with multiple chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Dr. Garcia enables patients to live healthier through the support of an entire medical team that works together to provide the best care possible.
